Salt in your face: the desal white elephant
On the surface, desalination seems like a wonderful idea but there is a negative downside to the process - desalination plants produce so much waste and toxic chemicals that they are ultimately harmful to the planet and wildlife. But it would seem that Central Coast Council's bureaucracy is more interested in building a 'Desal White Elephant'.
