$10 million organisation support program
Local sporting organisations across the Central Coast are being encouraged by their Central Coast Labor MPs to apply for a share of the Minns Labor Government’s record $10 million Organisation Support Program.

THE support funding will help State Sporting Organisations (SSOs) and State Sporting Organisations for People with a Disability (SSODs) support local clubs and volunteers, grow participation, and deliver competitions and programs that create more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in sport.
The Hon. Steve Kamper Minister for Sport said, “The Minns Labor Government is backing the sports that bring our communities together, from grassroots clubs through to our future Olympic, Paralympic and national champions.
“This record $10 million investment will help sporting organisations grow participation, support volunteers and create more opportunities for people across NSW to get involved in sport.
“Whether someone is playing at their local club, volunteering in their community or chasing their sporting dreams, this funding helps ensure there is a place for everyone in sport.”
The Hon. David Harris Member for Wyong said, “Sport and active recreation is important, contributing significantly to our health, economy, social wellbeing and the liveability of our cities and communities.
“I encourage sporting clubs in the Wyong electorate and across the Central Coast to take on this opportunity to increase growth, support volunteers and provide community members the opportunities to participate in sport.”
The 2026/27 Program includes an additional $7 million investment, bringing the Minns Labor Government’s total support for NSW sports through the Program to $35 million since coming to office.
The funding will support sporting organisations across NSW to strengthen their operations and create pathways from grassroots participation through to future Olympic, Paralympic and national representatives.
The Hon. Yasmin Catley Member for Swansea said, “Our local sporting clubs are the backbone of the Swansea electorate. They're where lifelong friendships are made, kids build confidence and volunteers give so much of their time to bring our community together.
“I want to see our local clubs continue to prosper, so I'd encourage every eligible sporting organisation across the electorate to apply for this funding and make the most of this opportunity."
David Mehan Member for The Entrance said, “Sporting clubs are the heart of our communities, and this funding will allow them to continue to grow, encourage participation, and provide the necessary support where needed.
“This program is an investment in stronger, more inclusive sport. I encourage eligible sporting organisations across the Central Coast to take advantage of this opportunity for funding and make an application.”
Liesl Tesch Member for Gosford said, “As a former Paralympian, I know all too well that sport plays a crucial role in bringing our community together.”
“This record funding will allow more opportunities for anyone to be involved in sport, no matter who they are.
“It’s just another way the Minns Labor Government is delivering for our local community.”
