CoastAbility seeks members
CoastAbility has for many years served the Central Coast community in supporting local young people with physical disabilities – from birth to 25 years old – to thrive in all aspects of life.

THIS year, the charity run solely by volunteers has delivered 90 years of improving young lives through sport and academic scholarships, accessible school bus programs, and financial assistance for unmet disability related needs.
Director Chris Garratt says that she is thinking to the future and is calling for more members of the community to get involved.
“We are eager to ensure the work of CoastAbility continues. Succession planning is a concern. We are keen to find people with an interest in making a difference to the lives of our clients,” Chris Garratt said.
“We are actively seeking interest from the community to grow our committee membership, and ultimately attract potential board members.”
Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch, has been an Ambassador for CoastAbility since 2012, and continues to advocate to improve the lives of people who live with a disability.
“CoastAbility is an incredible non-profit organisation for the Central Coast. I am eager to see the great work that CoastAbility is doing continues,” said Ms Tesch.
“Last year, our very own star athlete Dylan Littlehales was able to compete in the Tokyo Paralympics because of the support provided by CoastAbility. This is only one example of the commitment the charity in serving our community and its young people.”
Ms Tesch encourages anyone with an interest to reach out to CoastAbility for more information.
“Over the years I have had the pleasure of supporting and encouraging the work of the Board and Committee Members. To those interested, do not hesitate to enquire today!”
