HER CAVE founder Regina Doyle left her job at the RFS due to medical reasons and needed to find other avenues and adventures that would spark her interest and imagination.

David Harris Member for Wyong said, “Her Cave is a not-for-profit organisation who focus on health and wellbeing for women across the Central Coast”.

“It’s important to create a safe space for women to come together and feel safe with a sense of community”, he said.

“I presented Her Cave their $30,000 cheque from the Local Small Commitments Allocation Program to support with appropriate shelving, craft supplies, equipment, and disability chairs.”

Regina Doyle said, “In eight years the members have done many things making us a bigger and stronger organisation.

“Her Cave originally started at my house, using the craft equipment I already owned, we were constantly on a search for a place to call home for our craft makers.

“We made it from the humble beginnings of an old wardrobe to store our supplies and second-hand containers to brand new fitted shelving and craft storage with easy access for our members.

“Our group share their skills of arts, textiles, crafts and new techniques to each other, and we hold regular craft sessions.”

“Our members donate items locally to nursing homes, Wyong Hospital including the Cancer unit, Hanly Moir pathology at Toukley, Care for the Coast, Jenna's Page, SoCares at Charmhaven and donate craft supplies and equipment around NSW to fire and drought effected people,” Mrs Doyle said.
