Devonshire teas with a festive twist

Devonshire tea, traditionally an afternoon tea consisting of tea, warm scones, clotted cream (or, less authentically, whipped cream), jam, and sometimes butter, has become part of the Australian way of life.

Around Australia, especially in country cafes, but also in cities and even fancy hotels, you will find a menu item listing titled Devonshire Tea. This year, however, the Woy Woy Hospital Auxiliary are raising money by selling Devonshire Teas with a festive twist.

27 November 2024

WOY WOY Auxiliary invite the community to join them for their Christmas Fair on Saturday 30 November at Woy Woy Hospital. The talented members of the Auxiliary will have hand crafted Christmas goodies for sale, a raffle and activities for children.

Delicious Devonshire teas with homemade scones will be served between 9am and 2pm and cost $8. The Devonshire teas have proven very popular at previous events and community members can enjoy these yummy treats knowing that they are supporting a wonderful local cause.

All funds raised at the Christmas Fair will be donated to Woy Woy Hospital to fund medical equipment or non-medical items which enhance comfort and wellbeing for patients and staff. The Auxiliary has generously donated over $305,000 to Woy Woy Hospital since 1997.
