Electronic scoreboard, scores upgrade
The Peninsula Leisure Centre Sports Hall has scored an upgrade to the electronic scoreboard under the Community Building Partnership Program!

THE extensively used electronic scoreboard in the Sports Hall of Peninsula Leisure Centre in Woy Woy is getting a $9,820 upgrade, after Central Coast Council was announced as a recipient of Community Building Partnership Program funding from the NSW Government.
Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch MP said the State Government was pleased to fund improvements to in-demand local facilities.
“The Sports Hall at Peninsula Leisure Centre is a space that gets such a good workout every day, from a variety of sportspeople – basketballers, runners, gym enthusiasts, pickleballers, volleyballers and numerous others. There’s little doubt that the electronic scoreboard is in need of a bit of a breather and a refresh," said Ms Tesch.
“I’m so pleased to see this State Government funding for Central Coast Council to deliver this much-needed enhancement to this Sports Hall facility at the Peninsula Leisure Centre.
“The upgrade of the Sports Hall’s electronic scoreboard, directly contribute towards a positive recreational outcome for users of the Sports Hall.”
Central Coast Council, Administrator, Rik Hart said the Sports Hall is used extensively by sporting groups and the upgrade of the electronic scoreboard will add another level of professionalism to the games played in the Hall.
“Team sports are a huge part of the Central Coast community, and Council is committed to ensuring that the facilities being used for matches, are the best they can be. We thank the NSW Government for this funding,” Mr Hart said.
The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 19,700 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
