WITH lifelong volunteer and Rotarian Jayne Mote taking out the award in 2026, world high-jump champion Nicola Olyslagers in 2025, and water safety advocate Louise Lambeth in 2024, the Gosford Local Woman of the Year celebrates progressive thinkers, everyday heroes, social advocates and community role models as part of the NSW Government Local Women of the Year Awards.

Nominations for the 2027 Awards are now open, closing at 5pm 23 October 2026.

Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch MP said the award recognised remarkable women in the Gosford electorate whose contributions often go unnoticed.

“These awards give us a wonderful chance each year to recognise the women driving positive change across our community,” Ms Tesch said.

“Whether it’s through their work, their volunteering, or their everyday commitment to helping others, women in the Gosford electorate contribute so much to the fabric of our community.

“I encourage members of the Gosford electorate to get their nomination in before 5pm on 23 October.”
