21 June 2023

THE “Humpback Highway” is busy with hundreds of sightings being recorded from all the Central Coat vantage points, 5 Lands Walk registrations are solid and fingers are crossed, hoping that the glorious start to Winter weather will continue to ensure a brilliant 5 Lands Walk on 24 June.

Whether as an athletic pursuit to complete the 10km coastal trek in your personal best time, an opportunity for a leisurely commune with nature, or to take in art, music and culture, the participation of Coasties and guests is welcomed in this year’s 5 Land Walk celebrations, starting with the Opening Ceremony at Avoca Beach on Friday evening 23 June, through to the Toorongong Gathering finale at Norah Head on 2 July.

“This is such great community event, timed to correspond with the peak of the northerly migration of the humpback whales. It brings together local community members and guests to enjoy the natural splendour and rich culture of the Central Coast, said Pauline Wright,President of the 5 Lands Walk Inc."

“Everyone young and old is welcome.

"If the topography presents a challenge, we have buses provided free by Busways, connecting each of the beachside locations, making it easy for everyone to join in.

"You’ll be in for a treat and I’d love to see you there.”
