Death by taser
The tragic death of 95-year-old Cooma woman, Clare Nowland, after being tasered by a NSW Police Officer, as she used her walker to slowly approach him with a steak knife, should never have happened. Then adding to the body count, a man was shot to death less than a week later.

Stop the destruction of NSW native forests
Last week the people had a huge win for forests in Victoria. The Victorian Labor Government brought forward the planned end of public native forest logging by 6 years, scheduling the end of the destructive industry by January 2024. This means both WA and Victoria will end the logging of their public native forests within 12 months!

Feedlot raises concerns
A 1000 cattle feedlot in a rural residential area has the Mangrove Mountain community up in arms and has raised concerns about the proposed activity in Hershon Road. A DA has been submitted for the proposed feedlot but local residents are uneasy about the noise, smell and the adverse environmental impacts that will occur.

Council backflips on commuter car park sale
Central Coast Council had previously agreed to sell the commuter carpark in Blackwall Rd and its option was to purchase 220 spaces, approximately 500 less than what the carpark provided. However, Council has finally capitulated to community pressure, resolving to halt the sale of the Woy Woy commuter car park.
