THE Woy Woy cost-of-living forum, organised by Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid, and attended by State Member for Gosford, Ms Liesl Tesch, was an opportunity for the community to access information about cost-of-living relief measures and other support.

Over fifty people attended the forum from Woy Woy and surrounding suburbs.

Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid said, “As the Federal Member for Robertson, my responsibility to our community is to ensure information about cost-of-living relief measures are known and accessible.

“Our forums include representatives from Services Australia and Service NSW who can detail all the assistance available to our community.

“This includes details about our recent $300 energy rebate, which is being automatically applied in $75 instalments per quarter to every Australian household.

“Or, how our cheaper medicines policy is helping our community access two months’ worth of prescription medicine for the price of one.

“Times are challenging for our community and that is why these forums are an excellent way to learn what can be accessed to help reduce the cost of living.

“I would like to thank Services Australia and Service NSW for supporting our forums and providing outstanding assistance to our community.

“I look forward to continuing to roll-out these forums in more locations across the Robertson electorate."

State Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch said that it was "fantastic to have representatives from Services Australia and Service NSW join the community to discuss the range of cost-of-living relief measures available and how these can be accessed, including through the NSW Government cost-of-living hub."

“Cost-of-living is the number one priority of the NSW Government and Australian Governments, and we are committed to providing relief, including energy bill relief, increasing the supply of affordable homes, toll relief and childhood education rebates," Ms Tesch said.

“Thank you to Dr Reid and his team for organising this forum to ensure that critical information about cost-of-living relief is easily available for our community.

“There is so much more to do to relieve the burden of cost-of-living on our community and the NSW Government is not wasting a second in improving the quality of life for our community by building a stronger NSW.”

Additional cost-of-living forums will be organised by the Office of Dr Gordon Reid.

Details, when available, will be accessible via local newspapers or by accessing Dr Reid’s website or social media channels.
