IN June last year, in response to a petition raised by Ms Fay Semple about the condition of Waratah Street and its impact on safety of Bateau Bay School students, Council undertook to rebuild the street in 2023/24.

Council have now advised that work is not scheduled to occur until 2024/25.

David Mehan said, “This isn’t good enough, Council need to stick with the commitment it gave the community and fix Waratah Street this year.”
