The future of The Entrance Bridge
Member for The Entrance David Mehan, is pleased that Transport for NSW (TfNSW) will now be undertaking investigation work to help plan next steps for work along The Entrance Bridge.

PLANNING for the future of The Entrance Bridge will help develop a long-term solution rather than continuing with short-term repairs for the bridge, given its current condition.
Mr Mehan has been advocating for some time for improvements to the bridge, including painting and lighting, following continued community concerns about its state.
“The Entrance Bridge is one of the major gateways to our town and should be illuminated and inviting," David Mehan said.
“I’m pleased to see TfNSW is starting to give The Entrance Bridge the attention it deserves.
“It has become clear that investing significantly in short-term repairs wasn’t the best use of public money and longer-term solutions should be investigated.
“Enhancing the look and condition of the bridge for our community is a priority.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the Minns Labor Government to see a long-term solution progress and for improvements to be delivered for our local community.”
The current investigation works will include surveying the pedestrian walkways, road surface, fencing and surrounding road reserve and commence on 14 September.
Transport for NSW has confirmed there are no current structural concerns for the bridge or the public while the investigation and planning work progresses.
