THE community restaurant at this years Meals on Wheels Christmas Party was filled with laughter, as attendees enjoyed Christmas bingo, listened to festive music and savoured a delicious Christmas feast.
The day began with a light morning tea, followed by a complimentary Christmas meal of ham and turkey, accompanied by plum pudding & brandy custard. This special gathering helped create a strong sense of community, fostering connections among clients and volunteers alike, as they came together to enjoy good food, great company and festive fun.
Samantha, the Community Engagement Manager from Home Instead Central Coast, also attended the celebration, adding an extra touch of magic to the day. She donated Christmas goodies for the lucky door prize and distributed special Christmas cards created by schoolchildren from local preschools and primary schools as part of Home Instead’s national Be a Santa to a Senior program. These heartfelt cards brought warm Christmas wishes to clients, making the occasion even more memorable.
