TAFE NSW opens enrolments for Semester 2 across Central Coast

With TAFE NSW Semester 2 about to commence, there’s never been a better time to discover the range of opportunities at your local TAFE NSW campus. This includes the different study options to suit your needs, such as online and face-to-face study.

MINISTER for Skills, TAFE and Tertiary Education said that TAFE NSW has hundreds of courses to choose from across a range of modern industries to help you gain a nationally recognised qualification in your area of interest.

 

"Our local Central Coast TAFE sites feature world-class training across a diversity of fields," said Minister Crakanthorp.

 

Member for Wyong David Harris said, “We’ve seen massive growth in our region over the last five years across key industries, with the healthcare sector growing by 15,000 workers alone.

 

“TAFE has always played a special role in skills development on the Central Coast with thousands of Coasties, young and old, gaining employment through our local TAFEs.”

 

Yasmin Catle, Member for Swansea, said, “TAFE NSW is the top training body in our state, and qualifications from TAFE NSW are a game changer for school leavers, job seekers, people looking to upskill and those wanting to start new businesses and careers.”

 

TAFE NSW Belmont features a carpentry and construction workshop, and an electrotechnology trades training facilities.

 

TAFE NSW Ourimbah features a student-run restaurant and Information Technology labs.

 

TAFE NSW Wyong features automotive and plumbing workshops, and a beauty salon.

 

TAFE NSW Gosford features a practical aged care training facility, hair and beauty training salons, and metal fabrication workshops.

 

Member for The Entrance David Mehan said, “The Minns Labor Government is dedicated to rebuilding TAFE NSW – starting by supporting locals to take up training opportunities at their local campuses.”

 

Liesl Tesch, Member for Gosford, remarked that TAFE is the backbone of our community, providing individuals with world class education through a hands-on approach to learning in fields such as Engineering, Ageing Support and Real Estate Practice.

 

“As former teacher, I know what a fantastic entry pathway TAFE provides for Coasties and I encourage everyone to look into the wonderful opportunities available at your local campus,” Ms Tesch said.
