The force is within us

This year a new Jedi Master joined the Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy at Tuggerah to celebrate 'May the Fourth Be With You - he was presented as David Harris.

THE Member for Wyong, David Harris made his way to the local academy and was welcomed by owner Luke Boyton and team with a tour of Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy.

Warming up to Star Wars Day David was shown theatre combat choreography with light up lightsabers manufactured and sourced locally on the Central Coast.

Mr Boyton said, “Our team teach the art of Saber duelling to adults, kids and support groups across the Central Coast and on weekends we tour Australia attending shows, lessons, conventions and events”.

“Over the years we developed a world-first system using theatre combat to teach Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy so the student learns vital skills such as resilience, overcoming the discomfort of learning something new and embracing failure as part of the learning process”.

Mr Harris said, “Luke’s academy programs support healthy life coping skills for kids and adults through the love of Star Wars, May the Fourth Be With You”.
