16 October 2024
THE adjusted timetables for regional and outer metro areas will come into effect on 20 October 2024 and people who use public transport services should plan ahead.
The changes will support the final Metro conversion of the T3 Bankstown Line, which is now underway by Transport for NSW.
While there will be major timetable changes for some parts of Sydney, the flow on impacts for regional and outer metro passengers will include adjustments to Intercity train services on the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Newcastle, Hunter and Southern Highlands train lines.
There will be timing adjustments and changes to some stopping patterns, however Intercity trains will remain at least as frequent as they are now.
There will also be some changes to bus timetables in the Hunter, Central Coast and Newcastle, Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands for routes that connect with train services.
There will also be some minor timing changes to selected NSW TrainLink booked regional train and coach services. These changes will be updated in the online reservation system and affected passengers will be contacted.
More information on the timetable changes can be found 2024 train timetable changes. Passengers should plan ahead using Trip Planner or a Transport App.
