MENTAL health challenges can affect any of us, our family members, friends or neighbours.

Whether you're experiencing emotional distress, struggling with your mental health, supporting a loved one, or simply not feeling like yourself, help is now available without the need for an appointment or referral.

The Centre is located at 152-156 Pacific Highway, Tuggerah, and you can contact the team on 1800 595 212.

This new service is another important step in strengthening mental health care across the Central Coast.

Local families now have access to support at every stage of life, from the Kids Hub in Tuggerah for children aged 0-12, to headspace centres in Wyong and Lake Haven for young people aged 12-25, and now the new Medicare Mental Health Centre for adults.

Assistant Minister McBride said, "As a former health worker, I know how important it is for people to be able to access quality healthcare when and where they need it. That's why I've been working hard to improve health services across our region."

In addition to the new Mental Health Centre, the government has upgraded the Lake Haven Medicare Urgent Care Clinic and is delivering six new fully bulk-billing GP clinics across the Central Coast and Lower Hunter, making it easier for local families to get the care they need.

"If you or someone you know could benefit from these services, I encourage you to reach out," Assistant Minister McBride said
