HOW do you comment on development plans in your area? How do you use the Council 'eplanning' portal? What is the Council ‘eplanning’ portal? If these are questions that have crossed your mind, then consider attending the free introductory Workshop on Council Planning being held by the Peninsular Residents Association (PRA) at Everglades Country Club on August 27th 2023.

Formed in 2021, the Peninsula Residents Association seek to give a collective, non partisan community voice on matters concerning liveability and the environment on the Peninsular. The group have found that many residents would like to understand how their feedback can contribute to the development process, but are overwhelmed by it and don't know where to start.

PRA Vice Chair Julian Bowker said that the PRA have decided to run a short "for dummies" style workshop to show how important community input is in the DA process, and how easy it is to have a say in how they may be impacted by a development.

“The workshop will run for approximately an hour, although PRA members will be available afterwards for Q and A, should participants have specific queries,” he said.

The workshop commences at 3.30pm in the Star room. Participants will be introduced to the Planning Portal and relevant development standard documents. They will have the opportunity to learn how to make a submission online or on paper.

Everglades Country Club is located on Dunban Road, Woy Woy. Drinks and refreshments are available for purchase at the club. All are welcome to attend.
