SINCE 2012 these annual awards have recognised the women and girls whose determination, bravery, skill and passion has inspired their communities and others to achieve great things.

The awards celebrate the role models who challenge inequality, innovate and inspire.

Mr Harris said, “The award recognises Ricki-Lee Abrams as a role model who inspires others throughout the community while making great achievements.

“Mrs Abrams works locally in the disability sector, also helping and assisting the needs of community members and volunteers at Tacoma Public School with their Daily Breakfast Club, annual events and helping the school community where she can”, he said.

“Mrs Abrams also donates to a process which helps families, who are having difficulties falling pregnant and starting a family of their own, this is such a selfless and generous act.

“I joined Mrs Abrams and her sister Melinda Starr at the NSW Regional Woman of the Year Award 2024 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney to celebrate Wyong Woman of the Year and state electorate awards.”
